Neuroplant Outreach

Hands-on Demos
We conduct hands-on demos to students. For instance, we demonstrated our screening platform to a cohort of Stanford Ignite Program students. In future demos, we plan to expand our audience to local primary undergraduate institutions and community colleges.

Bimonthly Virtual Seminar and Workshop Series
Every other month, we hold a virtual seminar and workshop series for undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, staff, and faculty from Stanford University, Carnegie Institute for Science, and Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve. Speakers include industry and academic researchers in natural product chemistry, ethnobotany, cheminformatics, and neuroscience.
Virtual Pre-med Student Event
We organized a virtual event for Stanford undergraduates who aspire to attend medical school. We invited medical students at different stages from Yale, Columbia, and Tulane universities to share advice on applications and their experiences as medical students during the pandemic. This event was highly successful and was attended by pre-med students from the NeURO program and members of Stanford Black Pre-Medical Organization.
